Holley Navarre Middle School has just launched its Jr Audubon Society. This club is designed to get families together participating in environmental activities. Our goal is to foster environmental awareness and science literacy through monitoring and observing of habitats the students have only learned about in text books. Students will also become involved in the “Citizens Science” program as they will be documenting and posting data collected throughout the year.

As a new club, we are working to build our budget through fundraisers and donations. These funds will help us to purchase equipment and supplies such as binoculars, nets, snorkeling gear, campsite reservations, and food for our field trips and club functions. In that vein, we are looking for local businesses willing to provide donations of money or supplies which would greatly expedite reaching our goals of getting these students and their families outdoors and exploring nature together.
